Dr. Sardar Nazir Ahmad had a most amazing life story. His second wife was one of my closest friends.

Dr. Sardar Nazir Ahmad was of Sikh origine and born in India, approximately in 1906. After becoming a medical doctor, he went twice to the Habesha area in Abessinia, Ethiopia of today, and in addition to his obligatory professional duties he preached the Islamic and Ahmadiyya teachings.
Not only so, but he had such a high status being the life physician of the emperor Haile Selassie and as such he had access to the royal palace. He preached the emperor Haile Selassie and furthermore he presented Holy Qur’an to His Majesty.
After that he toured Syria, Egypt and Kababir, the Palestine of that time, and preached the message of Islam and Ahmadiyyat widely. Later on he stayed in Yemen and Kenya, and after that he srved under the Nusrat Jahan scheme, initiated by the third Caliph in Joro, Sierra Leone 1976-1977, Rokoper. Sierra Leone 1977-1988 and in Tachiman, Ghana 1972-1974. He passed away the 27th of December 1987 in London and is buried in Rabwah, Pakistan.
