Yasmin Malik, an Early Danish Convert
I met Yasmin for the first time in London. We became friends and corresponded for years via e-mail. I was also fortunate to visit her in London several times, and I recall that once her daughter wanted to give me a special treat and prepared Lasagna for out dinner.
Over the years, I have been very impressed by her social engagement and always being willing to help others.
Of the Danish citizens who live in UK, she was the first to embrace Ahmadiyyat. I attach a link where she herself describes her conversion, so that you can read the whole story.
It was thrilling to read how she found out that her husband’s father, Hadhrat Malik Nadir Khan, was blessed to be a companion of the Promised Messiah, May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.. In 1897 at the young age of 18, her father-in-law, whilst living in Kenya where he was working at the time, sent a letter of allegiance to the Promised Messiah, and later in 1901 traveled to Qadian and took the Bai’at at the hand of the Promised Messiah, on the rooftop of Mubarak Mosque.
